DOYNE RETINA INNOVATION SUMMIT

Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Tyrolean Alps, the Doyne Retinal Innovation Summit will bring together leading experts in the field of retinal therapeutics to discuss the present landscape and emerging innovations in the treatment of retinal disease.

Over the course of four days, the summit will host scientists, clinicians and innovators from industry to explore the cutting edge and what may lie beyond.

 

The structure of the summit will loosely follow the steps of innovation from conceptualization and testing to implementation:

Day 1: Novel therapeutic tools, DNA and RNA base editing, prime editing, optogenetics, utility of robotics and AI in retina.

 

Day 2: Clinical trial design and implementation, choice of clinical endpoints, engagement with regulatory bodies.

 

Day 3: Surgical approaches, management of side effects, patient readiness, postmarketing strategies, economic modeling.

 

Each day will include a morning and an afternoon session consisting of short, 15 minute talks with a strong emphasis on discussion afterward. A stimulating evening lecture will be designed to take a broader look at some of the topics and challenges facing the field and facilitate fireplace discussions between the invited key opinion leaders.

Between sessions, participants will be able to enjoy skiing, relax in the amenities of Hotel Nassereinerhof and make use of informal networking opportunities.
